so, for today ... i would like to tackle the issue of vernacular. what's good, and what's not.
speaking of what's good ...
1. what's REALLY good?
i know this isnt really used as much as it was, say ... 6 months ago. but what the fuck does that mean?
my boy dan that i used to work with, used to always say "whats the good word?" ... and i was like ... thats kinda fagtastic ...
so when i heard people start to say this, i was like ... hmm, what IS really good?
to be honest, nothing at all. if some stuff is just so-so, a.k.a. mas o menos (shout to my homies in the barrio), should i mention it?
will mike-diddy get pissed if i tell him something that is just REALLY okay?
if i respond with "nothing is really good, whats good with you holmes?" ... will he go kobe on me?
cuz it kinda sounds like im dissing him ... and you know how the brothas hate to get disrespected ... or step-sonned ...
another new thing i have noticed ... is "doggie" / "doggy". i havent HEARD it ... but a lot of people have been saying it on message boards. context:
me: shut up
them: u mad doggie?
i dont get it ... i mean ... i guess i "get" it ... but i dont really know where it came from ... i guess its just the new thing to say i guess .... whatever ... keep it gangsta.
now to my vernacular ... from reading these first few blogs, you have probably been able to figure out that i say a few things a lot.
one of them being "b00tch". for an in-depth explanation of that word, holler at me ... or scroll down.
another that i say a lot is "homie" / "holmes"". just what i say ... dunno why. i guess if people say "doggie" ... i am allowed to say "holmes".
also, holmes is incredibly gangsta. unlike that bunk ass "doggie" shit.
anyway ... its only been a few days, and my blogs are already getting dubbed across the net.
i got a few emails today, lettin me know that a few sites have dubbed my OC recap. which, is cool ... dont care, just give me a link or somethin. common courtesy.
i thought my OC recap was funny as shit, if you think so too ... feel free to post it on your site, just lemme know or somethin.
all good though.
i would stay and post more useless shit, but i really have to get crackin on my portfolio.
